thanks heaps mate for some reason i woke up today my laptop wouldnt turn on, and its only a month old so i was hell worried then i saw a comment saying remove the battery and try it with the ac adaptor in.. works. thanks

The problem with the affected Li-Ion batteries were that foreign matter (metal flakes) had, somehow, made their way in the cells during the manufacturing process, which is a very serious defect.
The danger is that the foreign object can pierce through the cell barriers and cause an internal short circuit, which causes the cell to overheat.
This triggers a runaway thermal event that causes all the cells to become overheated and explode.

more dell computers collect the powerfull devices were they need more current from battery . So, this may made the resistant up & heat goes up from batteries can be exploding when set all devices to high performance ….

Doesn’t matter what brand you get , don’t blame it on Dell.
It’s about the Li-ion battery (made by sony , used by a lot)
Seems there’s a problem with the particles , causing a short circuit.
If it heats up too quick , it’s having a problem. get it replaced asap.

Hey dells really are junk. the more oem parts a PC or notebook uses the better. they are good but dont expect anything special from the support. as well as that lets say all their parts are good but their motherboards suck. dont get me wrong they are a good price and half the time u get lucky and dont get a lemon

I made the mistake of buying a Dell notebook, and 2 years later, the soldering on the recharge port melted away, leaving it loose. I can’t even recharge the piece of shit anymore.
