@zukanaboi if the sound still working when your PC suddenly shutting down ( it has a VDO card problem) or reinstall your games software.
@ultimatehandyman owww men i’m sorry i forgot the manual in thailand im here in Malaysia right now..i want to change my operating system but i need to reset first the bios.thanks for the help i will try to find and remove all the jumpers lol.ok
@Whiteguitarful
It might be a jumper that needs moving.
Do you have the user manual?
i have ASUS laptop ang i cannot find the reset button for bios..,
@zukanaboi
You are welcome!
I’m no expert by the way, so somebody else might have another solution for you to try!
Good luck with getting it sorted!
@ultimatehandyman
ok.. will do.. thnx 4 d help though..
@zukanaboi
It might not be overheating, but if you can make sure that all the vents are clear when it is running. You can also get some software to monitor the temperature etc. A fee program is called speedfan, just do a google for it!
@ultimatehandyman
what should i do with to overcome the overheating??
any suggestion??
@zukanaboi
Doesn’t sound like the CMOS battery. When the CMOS battery fails, you loose the date. Your problem sounds like it is to do with applications that use lots of memory, so it could be overheating etc.
i got a acer’s aspire 4937 with 2G ddr3 and a core 2 duo processor about 13 months old now..
i got this problem in past few months when each time while im playing with my games it will suddenly shuts down n it will repeating the same thing each time im playin with my games and it did with different games too.. but it did not happen while im using the internet or any other stuff..
this really frustrating me though..
is it my laptop battery or other kind of problem??
ur help is a huge help..
@ultimatehandyman Oh okay. thank you very much.

They are used to ensure that a static charge does not build up when you are going to be touching sensitive electrical components. If a static charge did build up and you touched the motherboard, there is a small chance that it could zap one of the components. For the sake of a few quid you can get one and wear it as a precaution. Maplin sell them and most good computer shops.
@TokyoMusic5
Glad it helped.
Good luck with your laptop.
Oops, I forgot to ask, are static wrist bands necessary? What exactly do they do? And where can I purchases these?
@ultimatehandyman Okay. Thank you so much. I’ll give it some time and see if there is any problems again.
Very helpful video by the way.
@TokyoMusic5
If it keeps going back to a single date then the CMOS Battery may need changing, unless there is another fault. They normally last a few years, not months!
When you find the CMOS battery in the laptop it will have the battery type engraved into it, so you can just get a replacement. You can get them from staples, maplin, or even ebay.
My laptop is only 3 months old and the time and date keep changing, does that mean I need the CMOS battery replaced?
What will happen if i do not replace it?
Can my laptop run without it?
Where can I purchases a CMOS battery and how will I know the brand or type I need?
Sorry for all the questions.
@TheLowBudgetFilms
I would imagine that it is, as the tape was applied when the computer was first configured.
is that electrical tape?
Very useful Thanks.
@RogerMERK
I was lucky with the one I did as it was so easy to get to battery.
I can imagine it being a lot more difficult on some laptops!
Good luck with it!
Haha. I wish it were that easy, one I’m currently on is hidden, and someone stripped 3 screws… *sigh*
i had one under the keyboard in 2 laptops i ownd
@ zakzak000
It’s the first laptop cmos battery that I have changed to be honest. I can imagine that other makes are much more difficult to get to!
If only all laptops were as easy as that! Most are heavily hidden in the system board, a nightmare!
