@EMOSUCKS283AA Actually this one had an ATI gpu, i like Ati better though… had some issues with gf8200 last year…
@milkymonster42 Yeah you got lucky, ZD8000 is the most defective model ever… Mine’s got the screen problem. So i’m using an external display now, But i’ve never had overheating or battery problems. I guess i’m “half” lucky then…
HP is known to be very cheap… Unfortunately a lot of people don’t know computers and they may buy an hp. Please don’t get one. Even when brand new they jam it with bloatware.
HP in general is crap, when it comes to laptops. Sadly our work is moving to them, from Dell. Talk about a downgrade.
yeah….you treated it like shit. Stop complaining.
and i have windows 7 on it which i believe works better than xp did originally lol
you got very unlucky, or was i the lucky one? ive owned this laptop for years, im actually posting this from my zd8000 now. The only problem i have ever encountered with this laptop was overheating after the first 2 years of owning. I just popped it open and cleaned out the shit ton of dust in the fans, not one problem since.
I just? dont understand why soo many people are having issues with this laptop, someone has to be? doing something wrong…mine runs quite, my fans NEVER run like yours do
typical hp their desktops are no better everyone i know who had an hp computer desktop or laptop have allot of problems with them even dell or acer is better but id recomend toshiba ive never had one die on me yet or even get a minor problem only the occaisinal software issue id also like to recomend samsung but i havent owned my r580 long enough to find out if it has problems or not
I bought a HP Compaq 6715 s and after only a few months of owning it the hard drive AND the motherboard failed, costing me double what i payed for it, then after a few more months i had to replace the batter AND the cooling fan system. THEN the charger broke from some unknown error and then i had to reinstall the OS. HP i have one thing to say to you, Stick to fucking printers.
Not as shitty as my f730US.
The wireless card failed, it crashed when I attempted to go into standby, support recalled a similar model yet not mine, the GPU failed, first discoloring vga output to a external monitor, then displaying garbage on bootup, and then finally, it wouldn’t boot windows.
WANT A NEW LAPTOP go to ebay and put 250712282644 in the search im selling my? hplaptop g60 for 309 take a look runs great and looks great good luck bidding
nice laptop very nice
Someone gave me one of these turds (ZD8230) and I managed to get the motherboard working properly by heat gunning the northbridge and video chips. It works fine now but gets extremely hot. The onboard 3.3 and 5v supplies are very noisy and this affects peripherals plugged into the unit. Replacing caps made no difference. The hard drive and DVD burner share the same IDE channel which makes burning at full speed impossible. It wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t for the thing getting so damn hot
i think it just all the HP laptops cuz mine also makes vertical lines and i just got it a year ago and also it was a1 year warrenty like if they knew this would happen
2010 Compaq presario – Absolute shit, kept crashing, Keys came off.

I have a HP NC 6320, business class laptop and I have 12 lines on my screen, this PoS has had the screen motherboard and power supply replaced under warranty
I have this laptop, got it for a grad gift in 2005, i got 5 years out of it, just started getting the lines in the screen, but i never had any overheating problems. Just need to blow it out with some compressed air every once in a while like all other laptops.
@Xceldyne HP in my opinion is quite good. Dell(I have nothing against them)in my opinion makes laptops that are dirt cheap and are meant for basic stuff, and they work nicely.
