Seriously why is everyone whining about optical drives? What do you use your optical drive for? I’m not generally installing software on the go. All my music is already on my computer so why should I need to play a CD. I don’t watch my DVDs with my computer on the go, but I do have a few on it in case I get extremely bored… I think I’ve watched a DVD on my laptop twice… maybe. Just keep an external at home.
Have it and love it. The downside to this laptop is the graphics card, but since I don’t do much intense gaming or movie watching – not a big loss. It’s super light – fits in my backpack nicely.

Yea that sucks that it does not have an Optical Drive, just another thing you would have to buy and haul around with you on those long business trips plus dealing with all the USB Cables… So not worth the $1000….
