Random Access Memory (RAM) provides space for your computer to read and write data to be accessed by the CPU (central processing unit). If you add more RAM to your computer, you reduce the number of times your CPU must read data from your hard disk. This usually allows your computer to work considerably faster, as RAM is many times faster than a hard disk. So the more RAM you have, the faster your computer can run. If you don’t have enough, programs tend to crash or lag
pretty cool laptop
@TheSaintphat sooo. is 4 gigs of ram good or bad?
@arandomthot5 RAM is NOT how fast your computer can go, don’t listen to him. RAM stands for random acess memory, it is a temporary dump place for your hard drive to put data. The more ram you have, the more programs/applications you can have open at once. If you don’t have enough ram, your computer will slow significantly, however if you have more than enough you won’t notice a differance. DOn’t listen to him on his description of RAM, it is incorrect.

hey do all newer sony vaios are wifi capable??
@arandomthot5 You save your media (music, videos, files, etc…) on your hard drive. The memory aka RAM is how fast your computer can go. Yeah people get them mixed up a lot
what is the difference between 4 gs of ram and 500gb hard drive? can you save memory on the hard drive?
@KevinWeiTV YOU DON”T KNOW THE SERIES!?!? WOW! fail.
what series is this
No this is the E series incase your wondering peoples
Is this the EB series? Does it come with a recovery disc?
@LatonioLive Yes ut us Black Matte and it’s pretty nice. Here’s my suggestion: get a cheap skin for it if you don’t like the factory color. You can get a good quality skin with a design you’d like for less than $15. I’m sure there are custom skins available too (for more money). Solid color skins are probably less.
Nice that’s a really powerful computer you got!
@LatonioLive you got that right.
nice.. model #?
what color is that? Black matte? I am trying to decide should I spend an extra fifty bucks for a different color.
