@EternalSouls92 The one I bought has ATI HD 5830, so the newer models obviously have the 5000 series. As for the optical drive yes its a letdown i know, but for me personally I would rarely use the optical drive anyway, however it may be different for you.

I would rather spend 1800 on a Alien Ware or Asus and get a performance power house that has a built in optical drive because who wants to lug around a extra piece with the optical drive. The other issue is the graphics card is mid range for the price your paying, HP could have included a 5000 series ATI card at minimum. This is like a Mac over priced for what you get.
I don’t care what anyone says, I’ll always love PCs more than Macs
I will never buy HP products again but I prefer the sony vaoi,asus, macbook pro or samsung for quality.

1800 is quite expensive for a laptop…for most people we don’t really need the power of the i7, an i3 is plentiful for a laptop. the i7 and the slim design is really what we are paying all that extra money for if they were able to keep the price down to around 1200 or 1300 it would be more affordable. also i really wish hp kept using altec lansing speakers for their laptops cuz the sound of those speakers were AMAZING! in fact even better than most portable small speakers out there!

I like it because its more portable. Fuck tha Apple logo, i dont even like the front of the laptop. i would love it even without it. Who the fuck likes to take a secound device, just so they can read/burn cds and dvds?!
