Diagnose No Power Issues with Laptops
Here are the main things to check for if your laptop does not power on: 1. Check the AC Adapter is plugged into a working outlett 2. Pull the battery out and hold in the power button to discharge the system 3. Try wiggling the cord while connected to the AC jack, if you get movement then the power jack is busted in the laptop. @cooliD97 Sounds like you have a bad charger if the light on the charger goes off when you try to turn the system on, too much draw on it because it’s going bad.
heey now its green but i click the power button the lights just shut off and the power still doesnt turn on
hey i have a problem i did wat u told me about taking the battery out and press the power button for 30 seconds and put the battery back in and put the charger in then the orange light came thx for that btw but wenn i press the power button the orange light shuts off and the laptpop wont turn on i did the process again and now the orange is poped upp and im gonna leave it to u if u can help plz reply!!!

@aleschray There are three types I generally buy, original from the manufacturer, IE from HP, Compaq, Acer, Gateway. Cheap replacements through eBay, and finally generic universal ones through best buy, or other electronics stores.
If you get a universal one be sure it has plenty of power for the system.
do you know any place that sells power adapters?

@lovelytuber That is true, some of the AC adapters have fuses… but those are the high end ones.
