@AJH0014 You need to overcharge the battery, so you just need to charge it longer than intended. a damaged battery can result in this too.
burnt popcorn
@NorthWestParkFlyers yeah, I just like rc trucks because you can drive them everywhere. I am really looking in to getting in to flying. either planes or helis. I did helis a few years back but quit. I am interested in aircraft to but have never really jumped in to the hobby. I like repairing my trucks. to me that’s just as fun if not more than driving. plus when you crash your truck it doesn’t crumble lol. but I guess there really is a difference between the materials used for land vehicles.
might need to order a few of these…
@RCFANATIC1996 I’ve never really looked at rc cars. I have always been interested in rocketry and aircraft since I built my first dime-store rubber band powered airplane roughly 40 years ago. I started bulding stick and tissue models when I was 7 years old, and I got into rocketry when I 10. Crashing is part of the game. Repairing a smashed bird is as much fun as flying. Its usually pretty cheap too.
@NorthWestParkFlyers I run an esc with a low voltage cutoff. it cuts off at 3.2 volts per cell. I was looking in to the super cub. have you ever looked in to any trucks or cars? they are really fun. with brushless and lipo batteries they are blast. I run a traxxas slash 4×4. very fun. and things seem more likely to break when you crash from the air. than when you blast into a tree on land lol.
@RCFANATIC1996 Oh…thats right. I dont know about rc cars with regard to their power requirements, so I couldn’t advise you on run time. There are devices on the market that measure power parameters such as voltage draw, amperage draw and wattage. Google ‘watts up meter’. This device plugs in to the circuit between the battery and the ESC and displays all the affore mentioned parameters while your motor is running. As for a good beginer plane, Horizon hobbies offers a plane called Super Cub.
@NorthWestParkFlyers yep, pretty cool lol. I don’t fly, I drive. lol I would like to get in to flying planes. it looks really fun and cool. I just don’t know what plane to start with.
great vid,, thanks for sharing
@RCFANATIC1996 Cool! Just remember to time your flights so that you don’t discharge them below 3 volts. They should last a very long time. Happy flying!
@NorthWestParkFlyers I finally got lipos. I love them. I got a very good, safe charger. it won’t overcharge/discharge and it monitors the volts of each cell even if it’s not on balance mode.
@FoamPackingPeanuts however once the outer layer burns off if quick enough the oxygen reacts with the lithium to really burn!
Hey hey!!! Model rockets! 0:40
@panhead88 fck i wanna make a real bomb not pussy shit like sparkler bombs and smoke bombs
@lamb445 not if you buy zippy lipos! $35-$50 a lipo!
