@NorthWestParkFlyers I finally got lipos. I love them. I got a very good, safe charger. it won't overcharge/discharge and it monitors the volts of each cell even if it's not on balance mode.

@RCFANATIC1996 Cool! Just remember to time your flights so that you don't discharge them below 3 volts. They should last a very long time. Happy flying!

@RCFANATIC1996 Oh...thats right. I dont know about rc cars with regard to their power requirements, so I couldn't advise you on run time. There are devices on the market that measure power parameters such as voltage draw, amperage draw and wattage. Google 'watts up meter'. This device plugs in to the circuit between the battery and the ESC and displays all the affore mentioned parameters while your motor is running. As for a good beginer plane, Horizon hobbies offers a plane called Super Cub.

@NorthWestParkFlyers I run an esc with a low voltage cutoff. it cuts off at 3.2 volts per cell. I was looking in to the super cub. have you ever looked in to any trucks or cars? they are really fun. with brushless and lipo batteries they are blast. I run a traxxas slash 4x4. very fun. and things seem more likely to break when you crash from the air. than when you blast into a tree on land lol.
