GTA IV on the HP Dv6t Quad Edition Laptop
Test playing GTA IV on my Quad Edition Laptop. According to the GTA IV benchmark I average 31+ FPS but with Fraps I only got around 25+ FPS. GTA IV Settings: All Settings on High. Resolution: 1366 x 768. Sorry for the poor quality, Windows Movie Maker reduced the quality. This is stock, I don’t think the original HP dv6t is available on the HP site however, its been made less powerful to my knowledge and the look has changed.
this is a stock laptop right? playing this game with no mods? (computer mods not game mods)

Well, please help me. I’ve tried to play GTA IV using my Dv8t, which is pretty the same thing as yours. Even when I put all setting to LOW, I can’t play at all due to the tremendous lag.
You’re playing using ALL high and very smooth! Could this be something related to problems on my computer or to the fact that the game was not original and patched?

@hordenbadboy id buy this if i were you, the m15x is about 15 lbs at max config. a little heavy dont you think. this one is just 6 lbs.
if you are buying from hp the real name is select edition not quad edition.

The dv6t is not equal to the dv8t. The dv6t comes standard with i3 processor, 320 gb hdd, and 512 mb graphics card. The dv8t comes standard with i7 processor, 500 gb hdd, and 1 gb graphics card.

cuz game is not smooth in my laptop, tho the fps in “benchmark” is good enuff…
@kukubird92 the DV8t Quad (besides the wider screen) is equal to this laptop, the move from dv6t to dv8t essentially means a dv6t with a wider screen
