@U3bElive Bullshit ! my country is MONEY KILLER ?
@Atheismrulez Ok cool and your welcome. I hope it is good for you and you’ll have that extra money. Sounds like you made a good choice.
@punkmanmatthew
I see. Well, I’ve made a decision: I’ll buy the G60VX and with that I’ll have just the right amount of money left over to buy a Kindle 3.
Thanks for the help.
@Atheismrulez I just got BF:B2 2 off steam and I run it on high at native res.
@punkmanmatthew
The thing is, though, that the GTX 260M is just a bit faster than the GTS 360M. That alone could make up for the CPU difference in games. The thing that lowers my confidence in the GTS 360M is the fact that has 96 CUDA cores, instead of 112 like the GTX 260M.
How do modern games run on the G60? Can you run BF:BC 2 at medium settings in the native res?
@Atheismrulez If you have the money I’d prob. go with the G60JX but if not then get the other. The processor I think will help out with gaming on the G60JX. I play Flight Simulator so the G60JX is better for me because that game uses your processor like jank. It’s up to you though.
@U3bElive Yep I bought it for that which they say it’s cheaper now but I think it’s refurbished and they don’t sell them anymore at Best Buy. I guess it’s just your country.
I noticed the G60JX comes with a 500GB 7200 RPM HDD instead of the 320GB 7200 RPM HDD on the G60VX and also with 1066 MHz DDR3 instead of 800 MHz DDR2.
Still leaning towards the G60VX, though. The $180 difference is huge, and I can just add another HDD to the G60VX to increase storage capacity since it comes with two HDD bays.
I’m undecided as to if I should get the G60VX or the G60JX. The G60VX will run me $620 and comes with a Core 2 Duo P7450 @2.13 GHz and GeForce GTX 260M. The 60JX will cost $800 and comes with a Core i5 430M @2.26 GHz and a GeForce GTS 360M.
While the Core i5 is certainly faster, the C2D on the VX can be overclocked using an utility that Asus provides. From what I’ve seen in benchmarks, the GTX 260M is a bit faster than the GTS 360M but also consumes more power.
I’m leaning towards the VX.
More like Asses ALIENWARE MOFO!!:P
@punkmanmatthew are u sure that u bought it 899 dollar ? omg ! my country sell it 2500 dollar there !!!
Im getting this laptop for christmas! costing me $735 (Im Australian) im guessing it will run source games well. Anyone know if it would run tf2 on max?
@punkmanmatthew Nice, I’m getting this laptop, or something similar by ASUS
hello nice video , i have a question please , i ordered this laptop from newegg , adn it will ship today , but i am willing to upgrade the memory to 8gb is that possible on this laptop ? cuz some people said the max is 4gb , and why you have 3.86 usable ram and you have 64-bit OS .
thanks , please answer my question ASAP , thanks again .
@punkmanmatthew Im thinking to trade my G72GX for a G60JX.
Mine proc its a C2D 2.8 and isnt cool.
But I got the GTX260M 1GB …
But the Bad Company 2 runs laggy
Actually you can have the rays coming through the water and trees with DX9 but it requires a mod.
@GoRamiro Yeah I think so. There is a video on youtube that shows it playin on high
@lalalahaha1234 haha that’s pretty funny
@Dreamfailure nope
@lukeyonline Yes, I run GTA IV pretty well even with many mods
@HeyItsJonaveil For sure
@ShawtyVez3 thx, i just got a Asus R780 for 699$ from best buy (150$ off) for the online black friday through sunday sale.
Does this play source games like TF2, Counter Strike Source, etc.
@hoboninjas He bought his brand new, and any Asus G60JX you find now would be refurbished. BTW they sold out on newegg a while ago. So you should probably go ahead and buy the one off newegg before they sell out again. You can also find them for $799 on ebay and amazon. I know all of this because I’ve been doing research and I’m getting one myself. BTW: If your going to be a hardcore gamer with this laptop (or any gaming laptop) I would most definitely recommend a cooling pad. HOPE THIS HELPED.
From newegg. (C.o.m) there is a g60jx with i5 core for $750
how come the price was so high for you 899$ and now its $750 for one with an i5 core? DId the price drop that much over time?
