@X4SerioX4ese Yes, it bypasses the internal battery when you plug in the cigarette lighter adapter…..In the inverter mode, you get a max of 80 watts. With the internal battery you get a max of 60 watts.

Thanks for the response. The Black and Decker unit is still available on Ebay. (12/19/2010) Nicad not lithium, so heavier, but for $20, I bought two.
@stiltpro The only thing you can get now is an external battery made for a specific device, like a laptop or tablet… There were other product, like the energizer portable power outlet and black & decker portable power outlet…..sadly they were discontinued too.
The only choice you have now is to buy a jump starter with an inverter built in or buy a small sla battery and wire up a pocket inverter to it.

Fantastic review, been unsure if I would buy that device until you showed me exactly what it was capable of.
@Transen12 It has a small fan that comes on when it gets hot (only near 60 watts). it also beeps when the internal battery gets low. It’s a pretty quiet unit overall.

@sirmasterpimp thanks! So if I’m looking at the main unit sitting on a desk with the power switch facing the sky and the 3 pins staring me in my face, negative is the left most pin? I’m looking fwd to your video. Thanks for the great review and answering my question.
@garyhgaryh Sure, positive is both the middle and the right pin and negative is the left……I am currently uploading a video to explain a little bit more.
I have the powersource mobile 100, but no charger. Can you tell me of the 3 pins from the charger, which is positive and negative? I want to charge the powersource with my dc power supply, but I have no idea which pin is neg and pos.

@To9Romo No, you can’t run an xbox 360 off of it. The maximum power output of it’s battery is 65 watts. The maximum power output as an inverter is 80 watts. For an xbox, you would have to look towards the “duracell powerpack 600 HD”. I tried to run a Wii off of it and it just shut off instantly.
do you think that i could run an xobox 360 off of this (160 watts)
