REVIEW: Dell Inspiron Mini 10
www.digitalhomethoughts.com This is an in-depth review video of the Dell Inspiron Mini 10. As configured from Dell Canada, it cost me 9 CAD in March 2009. This Mini 10 is cherry red in colour, uses the Intel Atom Z530 (1.6 Ghz) CPU, has 1 GB of DDR2 RAM, uses Windows XP Home SP3, has a 10.1 inch 16 aspect ratio screen (1024 x 576 resolution), a 160 GB 5400 RPM 2.5 inch hard drive, a 1.3 megapixel Webcam, a 802.11g WiFi card, and is powered by a 3-cell 24 WHr battery. UPDATE: I did some more video tests using Quicktime and Windows Media Player, and while playback was fine (no obvious glitches like with VLC), the quality of the playback wasn’t great – the GPU really sucks at scaling video, and artifacts popped up constantly. @ThoughtsMedia I have a Mini 10. It doesn’t have an HDMI port. There aer two Usb ports on the left instead of one. My screen isn’t flush like yours is. Do I have the Mini 10v? I have the bigger hard drive.
@JoelB3783 Apologies for the confusion – I had [HD] in the video title because at the Time (over a year ago), YouTube wasn’t indicating which videos were HD, so I put it in the title. I’ve now deleted it.

This is NOT the HD model, the hd has a broadcom crystal HD that can play HD videos, and has a 1366×768 res that is the HD this is just a regular 1012.

I’m getting a new DD502 electronic drum set with amp and headphones (not that you would care) but that is really expensive. So what i did is bribed my mom basicly, I would give her $200 and she would pay for the rest so I could get this laptop too. Good deal really

@ThoughtsMedia I have the 6 cell battery, and the upgraded hard drive, but I do not have the HDMI port, I have the standard one. Do I have the V version?
It does come with built in Wi-Fi. I don’t know where, I got it for Christmas.

To much for me, I dont know how many times we discussed the battery. I want to know up front what the actual computer can and cant do. Had to wade through to much back peddling for me and redundant talking. Sorry, Next!
