hey riscva job well done mate:) nice review .. i’l be getting my baby on Tuesday.. dell studio 17 multi-touch core i7….. am so excited and hey by the way, do u know the difference between the dell Studio 1749 and the dell Studio 1747… cuz buddy my one it says dell Studio 1747… should i be worried?? thank you.

@ramiya101 I don’t actually, I’m guessing the 1749 has the special speakers, multi-touch with facial recognition. What exactly did your friend say?

@Riscva Even the laptop i ordered has this “facial recognition software” and it has JBL speakers with the inbuilt sub-woofer… same as yours, but it says dell studio 1747..??

my studio 1749 is a core i5 and like im pretty sure it has touch my booklet says it does and i also looked at my dock and theres a setting called touch mode did i have to specail order a touch screen or does it come loaded and also if i have it can anyone tell me how to use it like how to turn it on?

@MrHawkeyethe2nd Control Panel- Hardware and Sound- ( you should see the pen and touch Icon) click Change touch input settings- use your finger for multi-touch gestures and inking and enable multi-touch

@ramiya101 no you shouldn’t, the only difference is that they change the numbers for the different time of the year. sometimes they change something but they didn’t change anything this time.
