I don’t to my laptops make, and I have no clue what to do. It turns on, and if it doesn’t have the power cable in it shuts down. if it does, nothing happens except the led lights stay on. voltage and cable are fine.
Hey i have an advent 9315 that when i press the power button the leds flash on and the optical drive spins up for about 1 second and then go off, any ideas? Thanks!
@Juan13468 all it needs is re formatting, if you have the discs that came with it, it is easy enough, if you haven’t take it in to a professional

@Wwadz try taking out battery, holding down power up button for 30 secs, sometimes works, is the switch stuck?

My IBM T40 Laptop is totally dead. I tried your way but, not works. However, only tinny little green light flashed (the battery icon for charging). Therefore, I am sure battery and charger is fine. Also when I put in charge it shows me a green light. If I press the power button then the little green battery icon flash! Is there any help?

@TJ718alldayx7 your motherboard is wet, and shorted a connector out a bit obvious i know, need to do a complete disassembly, and look for dampspots. its not really a diy fix take it in to a reputable repairer, i would advise

I have a toshiba laptop, it got wet, I took the battery out, let it sit out for a while, one day later I plunged in the charger with the battery inside, to turn it on, the power light and outlet light came on, my fans was spinning but not my battery charging light so I took out the battery and turned it on with out the battery in it, so it didn’t make a diffrence it did the same with those two lights my fans are blowing, plunged in the battery the charger light still wont turn on and my keys a

does the output of voltage from the charger cause batter not to charge or it will charge but have chance of damaging the batter if th e voltage is higher than orginal?
