1. IT DOES NOT HAVE A DVD DRIVE! You could not watch a single DVD movie.
2. THE BATTERY WILL NOT LAST 3+ MOVIES. In high-intensity load situations like decoding DVD quality video, it won’t last 8 hours. It only lasts 8 hours in power-saving mode.

I also like how they never specify that the “Intel Pentium Processor” is a weak 1.3GHz single-core.

It has 2 GTX 280m in SLI (I know, right?) and an Intel QX9300 2 Quad Core processor. I would also like Windows 7 Ultimate on it, but I don’t know which bit to get (32 or 64) to be able to play all games (I’m planning on this being a gaming desktop replacement.). I don’t know too much about bits, but with the processor and the OS, which bit should I get to play?

Secondly, this laptop isn’t intended for video processing and editing. If you bout it for that you’re plain stupid since in that price range you could have settled for a MSI, Toshiba or Acer that could take the video editing job without any sweat. There are two kinds of processors that the timeline has, the su3500 ( single core on a core 2 duo architecture ) and su9400 ( core 2 duo ). The first one is cheaper. So next time, get your facts right.

What I’m saying is that the hosts are selling it by comparing it to a portable DVD player, saying how it’s better, plays more movies, when in fact it can’t play DVD’s at all.

“decoding DVD quality video” doesn’t mean video processing/editing… it means playing an XviD encoded AVI file of equal quality to a DVD disc since this can’t play discs.

Acer 3810′s come with 3 CPU options: SU2700 (this one), SU3500, and SU9400.

Get YOUR facts straight, kid. :D
