Sooooo my grandmother wasnt insane when she used to put batteries in the freezer??? O3O
@jimmyb051051 oh okay. i guess this is not good for my batteries. i guess i’ll have to change anew one.
@collintheapplegeek i always use it. but i have to plug it everytime..
@ArashiStorm4Dream thats cuz it doesnt work. never put batteries in the freezer that will destroy the batteries not fix them. people use to put alkaline batteries in the fridge because a long time ago before they banned mercury it would stop them from leaking because it would harden the material inside. alkaline is made differently now they dont leak if anything bad happens its corrosion.
@777fdam If they are rechargeable, then it should work. I’ve done that before, and it worked out okay. You cannot do it with Alkaline batteries because they’ll most likely leak acid.
does it work on flashlight batteries?
@ArashiStorm4Dream It could be that the battery is screwed up inside or something, because unless it hasn’t been used for years, it should still be able to keep your computer running for at least a few seconds.
Already done it but it change nothing on my battery.. still the same.. it would die just after i unplug it.,
i can use my laptop, i can open it but i have to plug the AC Adapter because if i unplug it the laptop would die immediately.. will this help my batteries gain charge? or will it only increase the charge but after using will it go to not able to take charge??
I have a old laptop. I bought it in the year 2005. Oct 2010 i bought a new laptop. But then i still use my old one once or twice a week. I went on a 3 week vacation and when i came back home i booted up the two laptops. I noticed that the old laptop has 0% battery life and charging. After 3 hours i check it again and its still 0%!… Will this guide work? Btw im trying it now. Oh and the laptop is quite old that the CD-rom does not work and letter C and D wont work aswell. Thanks so much.
I put it in the freezer for 24 hours by accident, kinda worried what would happen now.
@EzDucky Glad I could help!
before 2 minutes….now 25=)
thanks.
You can just leave the batter out in the sun…
@mynameisstrider It’s not a fake or trick. This truly works. I’ve done this to 4 batteries, and I’ve had good result with all of them. Plus, if you’ve got a battery that won’t hold a charge and it’s pretty much useless, then it can’t hurt to give the freezer a try.
@Icmer2CP Yeah, batteries that don’t hold a good charge will still register as being charged up to 100%. That’s because it is charged up to 100% of what it can hold. As batteries get older they don’t hold as much power. The freezer doesn’t charge the battery, but it should increase how much power the battery will hold. I would expect yours to increase to 25-50 minutes of usage. Also, as I tell many people, if your battery isn’t working anyhow, then it can’t hurt to try the freezer.
this seems like the kind of thing that might work, but it could also be a prank or trick. can someone tell me, is it real or fake?
I’m confused: my Acer battery says it has full battery whenever I use it with a power cord but when I take it off and run it it only lasts for 5 minutes and when I boot it again it says there’s 0% left. So does the freezer thing actually charge the battery or increase it’s life? Or both?
@ZachEJT24
i have a toshiba a500 laptop and since the first time the battery holds the computer on for a very short time
im talking 40-50 minutes, that’s VERY short time for a new battery, isn’t it? would this work?
if it doesnt work, does it damages it?
should it be charged or empty when I get it in the freezer?
thank you
@ZachEJT24 Your welcome. Glad to help!
