The dv9700 from my sister’s old laptop which was 2 years old had that problem, and it fried the nVIDIA graphics chip. She got a new Apple laptop, since she believes that there is anti-virus? and better value in terms of reliability.

Geek squad cleaned it out, works better than new.. and it’s cool now even after leaving it on for? a couple of hours! I would practically get burned before. It’s like $30 to get it cleaned out.
