I have a junky HP 1116NR that I noticed the battery doesn’t seem to be charging. If I do what you say and go to the control panel my battery has 0% in it. If I unplug the power cord the computer turns off. Is there a way to tell if the circuit in the laptop is? bad or the battery is at fault.

Ok…I have this dell studio and what I do is I keep my laptop plugged? in all the time….Does tht hurt the battery ? Coz I was told once the battery is charged 100%, it stops charging and starts using electric power from the socket !
my laptop battery can be at 100% then it goes? down to 6% the 2% then 1%….. do i need to recalibrate,….
I saw in a video that 100% battery packs only uses a few lithium batteries.? Is this with all laptop batteries, including newer ones. Mine is 3 years old and invested too much into the laptop to have to buy a new one with a new anti-virus and everything, especially since rebuying programs is very sketchy and expensive.
I used to think that my mouse pad’s scrolling not working, fn features not working, wifi switch not working well, and the battery only lasting 5 mins vs. 1 hr were serious problems, until this: my laptop would stop charging when it’s on, but charges when it’s off. I? would have to plug the cord into the laptop multiple time to get it right, but it would be at 1-10% power when I’m doing it. When the plug is out, the charge light glows when it shouldn’t. It reads the plug is in, but stops charging.
