That’s a tough situation. I guess the question now is, would you rather? pay the $2,000 to get it soon or wait to save some money. Mind you, by the time your dad comes to the states, there will likely be a bigger, better machine that will cost you the same as the current MSI 780DX.
Haha. Well Glossy? would probably look better, colors wise, but the Matte would help a lot with that light reflection. I like having the Matte screen over my last Glossy, but it’s just my preference.
I emailed sales a few hours ago and they told me that they can ship almost all models of the laptops. But? the problem is that
1. They can’t ship the laptop with the battery, so i’ll have to find the battery locally
2. They only do bank wire transfers as a form of payment
3. They can’t handle when it comes to customs&taxes assigned by the government (I’ll pay more than saving up)
so I think I’d just wait for my dad to get there back in the states but i’d end up waiting for one year for my laptop.
u think the matte screen is worth getting or is that? just going to fuck with my color contrast?
No problem. If I wasn’t moving around so much, I would build my own desktop. I like the idea of being able to upgrade parts easily without having to buy a whole new system. But having a mobile gaming power-house is definitely nice. It just costs more and can’t? be upgraded like crazy in the future. Best of luck to you!
yeah it is man. i built a desktop with a friend back in the day when i used to be a wow fiend haha. that was like 6 or 7 years ago i think. everything is like times a thousand now. so lost haha. thanks a lot for your help man. im going to check out it out. it seems reasonably priced. maybe ill go for the 17″ version.? : ) thanks so much again
That’s a great question. Well, I would speak with Donald from Power Notebooks. Ask him about the pricing and? see what he says. Then you should have a better idea of your pricing options. Let me know what you decide to do.
The most important things you want to? look for are the graphics card and your screen resolution. So IF I were you, I get the Sager NP9150 from Power Notebooks. I would tack on an extra $100 for the GTX675 and another $140 for the Windows operating system. The laptop is a smaller 15.6″ but it is full 1920 HD and will have kickass graphics. AND, if you do the 3% off Cash Discount Price, that comes out to a hair under $1,500.
I know, this whole gaming laptop thing is crazy! Haha.
Hi funnyeehn is it possible to ship those laptops here in South East Asia? Because I was checking out for the MSI GT780DX and it costs somewhere at 1400 USD but the processor is an i5, but they have the one with the i7 processor but i’ll end up paying more than 2 grand. So is it better to purchase at? powernotebooks than a retailer here in my country?
thx for the reply. you think that you could possibly suggest something that wouldnt be over 1500? i checked out the msi? web page and saw the GE70 0ND-033US priced reasonably. with a better graphics card than the one in the comp u reviewed…i think…. (gtx660)? im pretty overwhelmed with the amount of machines. its all kind of alien to me ha. thx a lot man
Personally, I would save a little more to get a better laptop. I didn’t find much on your ASUS, but for? the various N53SM models that I did see, the graphics card wasn’t too great and the resolution wasn’t even full HD 1920 resolution! So not only would the laptop not be able to handle the graphics that great, but you wouldn’t even see it in full HD. So I suggest saving up for something a little meatier. Hope that helps!
looking to purchase a gaming laptop soon and stumbled on your video. I was looking into the Asus N53SM -RS72, Intel Core i7-2670 wich i think i can get for a little over 1k. do u think it would be worth it to just save a little more and get this laptop. would help a lot as i dont know much about computers anymore….:/ thanks I am looking to play Guild Wars 2 when? it comes out and i want it to look awesome.
thanks? man!
I don’t know much about the graphical requirements that C&C will have, so as of now I can’t say for sure. But I think that there is a good chance that this laptop will run it on high because I play most games on mixed ultra/high settings.?
Best? Well I’m really liking the Sager NP9170 with the $200 upgrade for the AMD 7970M. It’s a bit more expensive, but I think you’d be more than? satisfied!
~ $1,400.? More info under the description.
Hey there XAznxMikeX,
I do not own the Steelseries upgraded keyboard so I can’t really speak on it from personal experience. But I have heard the same thing as you. I guess it comes? down to the fact of whether or not you want to add the extra cash and lighting at the possible expense of typing glitches. So in other words, yes. You’re question applies to this barebone. Wish I could help you more.? : (
I just got the stock i7 2630.
Unfortunately, I did not get a Solid State. If you can add some extra cash for the SSD, then? I would do it! If you put your operating system on it, you’ll notice drastically faster boot up and shut down times.
hey which i7? did you get and did you get a caching Solid State Drives? and do you think it’s best to get one?
IM about to go overseas and i want to get into PC gaming. What’s the best laptop? for gaming to you…?
PRICE??
would it be? able to run command and conquer generals two on high when it comes out
acer aspire ethos!!?
Soooo……… Windows is? tacky bro!
The + means that in addition to? the operating system, you get the drivers and utilities disk. My suggestion is to speak to PowerNotebooks directly. They should be able to answer any of these kind of questions for you. : )
