Hi um i got a very old laptop. Its a? Dell Latitude CPX and uses a PPX battery and that battery is compleatly dead so is there any way i could get it to work agin or find it cheap somewhere???

Why does the 30″ DC adapter cable not disconnect from the battery housing itself? It makes it very hard to pack in a backpack or? laptop bag with that cable physically connected at all times. IMHO, not a very well thought-out design.
