i think it will charge up to %23 if u you put some ice in the first bag in zip it , but then u have to take it out of the fridge and let it set under? the sun for 3 hours or on the stove for an hour , this would be faster for 4 sure

if my battery is dead i just plug the charger in,
and if i happen to be in my car and my battery is dead i can’t do this becouse
1. i? don’t have a fridge in my car
and 2. within 12 hours i am at my destenation so, This is pretty damn useless

Explode the battery? Get real dude. As long as you know how to solder, which takes less than an hour to learn how to do, then you’re FINE to do the battery mod. A modded laptop battery will last at least 2 times longer, if not MORE, than ANY name brand replacement, and that’s because you can use cells that are actually good. Name brand battery replacements use crap cells. The only company that ever used good cells is Apple, and lets face it, with that price, it fucking better be? good.
If the battery is completly dead and will not hold a charge at all … then this? will not work!!
If your Battery is real finished, there is no way to revive it. Only replacement is the solution.
It is possible to hack it by replacing the number of AAA size batteries inside the housing, but it is a dangerous work? because the soldering work may explode a battery. Better replace your laptop battery and avoid problems.

Hey, this looks like a really great tip! Thanks for this. I’ll have to try this soon! My mom gets laptops and ALWAYS leaves them plugged in (which destroys the batteries in like a year or two.) I keep tellin’ her to let them discharge from time to time, but some things never seem to change… To those of? you who think cold will somehow destroy things, try wintering in Minnesota. Cell phones get left in cars… yeah, you’re dumb. Electronics thaw and are fine (even better, apparently!)
NO IT WON’T! I’ve been doing the freezer thing with my Cordless tool batteries for years, With Ni-Cd you just kill them a couple times and they’ll comeback almost new, With Li-Ion if you let it completely discharge, they just don’t want? to charge at all! This absolutely works. I can keep a battery for an extra six months or so by doing this, I’m a contractor and a battery only has a life span of about a year for me, doing this saves me a couple hundred dollars a year.
I only posted this after I tried it myself and saw the result with my own eyes..
And if any one does not want to do it? by all means, please dont.
