My laptop runs hot to the point of crashing. I don’t think that the internal fan has ever come on. To test this I used this rig and the system ran for 2 hours without a glitch.

Your probably right, but I am guessing that their solution would cost more than the $19 external fan that I picked up.
The real solution would be to replace the aging laptop with a new one. But I am not quite ready to do that.
Um, yeah. My MacBook Pro runs hot… REALLY hot, and that’s a known MacBook thing, but the fan comes on pretty readily when it has to. If your fan never comes on, that’s, dude. A pretty big problem.
On the plus side, I can keep my coffee warm in the morning and get that Guinness (that some idiot stuck into the fridge) back to room temperature quickly.
