Out of the box the macbook pro does NOT give a 2880 x1800 Retina!
its only giving you 1440×900, Need to install 3rd party? application to Get the Max Retina of 2880×1880
also do you think the high end MBP? retina is worth the extra money

Nope, but they sell USB 3.0 products. ?
It doesn’t? have one, Apple is trying to phase out the super drive. However you can buy an external super drive if needed.

If you are mainly going to use it for college and not much video or photo editing and gaming, then a MacBook Air will do the job. But if you will be doing all? of those tasks, the MacBook Pro with Retina Display would be great!
