MacBook Woes: Cannot charge or retrieve power from battery

Here is a brief summary: About 6 months ago, the computer battery would shut off at random while running on the battery. The battery connector was loose, as the computer battery‘s battery worked immediately after shutting down. I later fixed the loose connector and the computer battery ran perfectly fine for a few months without random shutdowns. 2 months ago, I was working on the computer battery, plugged in, when I left to go eat. I returned 15 minutes later. I decided I wanted to work somewhere else in the house, so I unplugged the computer battery. The computer battery died immediately, and would not power up without the adapter since then. The battery’s condition is fine, since it worked properly up until this problem occurred. Also, the battery says it’s 60% full. Some notes: I did use the computer battery on a 240v line for a week while I was in China. The MacBook’s power adapter is designed to handle foreign voltages and frequencies. This problem began a couple of weeks after returning. I have reset the PRAM and the SMU. This same problem occurs while in the boot menu, in Mac OS X Leopard, and also Windows XP. Please leave only “smart” comments. Try turning it on its side? and flicking your power adaptor with your finger. You may need to keep it on its side and use it laying down. All you need is to get used to typing whilst laying down.
Yep,? same problem!!!!
I just replaced the battery.?
Did you ever find a solution? I have having the? same issue now.
Fuck? apple
mine is doing the? same thing and i just bought a new batter last month!!!
The fault can be a bad connection where the battery connector cable plugs into the logic? pcb.
If you are confident and competant then try unplugging and plugging back in the connector and trying again.
There are 3 thin cables plus the battery power on this connector the thin wires tell the computer if the battery is there and charge data a bad connection here ( corrosion ) and the battery is not recognised and the computer shuts down
Replacing the cable may also help.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE TO DO TO FIX THIS :S I BOUGHT MY MACBOOK A MONTH AGO AND THE CHARGER IS NOT? WORKING NOW!
apple fail. the only good thing? about apple is their marketing. very good at lying to consumers.
And my friends tell me, why dont you? get a laptop!!??
….
i have the same problem i? bought i new battery from apple and it still does not work, under the hardware setting it says my battery is good
Yes, but it occurred months after I had fully discharged? the battery.
Apple has build in faulty deep discharge protection circuits. If you have discharged your battery and leave it on sleep for long time, you can be very unlucky and the deep discharge protection circuit don’t trigger –> Your battery becomes discharged to unhealthy low level –> the deep discharge protection circuit or its? software start later to refuse to allow you to retrieve any power from battery or to recharge your battery again.
Same happened to my battery.
sort the problem, new battery! ?
hey guys, woke up this morning, same problem. if anyone works this out, please message me. thanks
?
Damn,? that MacBook was a lemon.
what is the pram and the nvram??????
and? what is verbose boot?????????
thnx
go to the apple? store
for me all i do is set it on a table or other flat surface and press where the cord connects to the? laptop all the way down to the table then let it spring back up and the orange light comes back on
I? think tere was a wire in the batt burnedout
Goto: Apple Icon on top-left -> About This Mac, click on “More Info” then select? Power under Hardware on the left side.
