The ram may not be seated properly or motherboard may be dusty, make sure to remove any dust from intake fans and components? inside of computer
There may be something wrong with your mouse and keyboard port try connecting to a different port if u have one.Possible? something wrong with motherboard.

thermal compound would certainly help if it’s baked on but i’d check the fan. it might be not working or heatsink fans might be clogged. i would still replace the compound while i was in there if i was you. might be a good idea to look into shimming the gpu and removing the rubbery stuff from it. that can be BAD for a computer. working on one right now that has a bad gpu not letting? it boot. it’s preventive maintenance imo..

I just fixed a laptop bought in 2005. It has been half a year that it is dead. I always suspect that it is the problem of MLB. I did not even take out RAM for? basic troubleshooting. And while I watching your video, just want to use this laptop as a learning equipment, do what you said step by step. The laptop comes to its life again, robust. Thanks Eli.

nice guide and very understandable but i have only comment on the? liquid damage issue..you should correct and explain that it is not the liquid but the minerals inside it that transfer the electricity, you should actually use mineral free water/liquid (Distilled water) to clean your liquid damaged component..
