MSI GT780R 17″ Gaming Laptop First Look & Review- Part 1
Build Yours at www.gentechpc.com (latest model GT780DX with nVidia GTX570M) The MSI GT780R just came in! We were excited to open the box and try out the unit. This is one of the few laptops we have seen that has a matte screen in a long time and we were happy to see the Dynaudio and dual exhaust features be carried over from the MSI GT683R as they were both features we really liked on the 15″ version of this laptop. The Geforce GTX560M is a very capable gpu and the Intel Core i7 2630QM is a extremely strong mobile processor. Top it off with 1TB of HDD and 16GB of RAM and you really have a fully loaded package here for a good price. The illuminated keyboard gives you an extra layer of customization and personalization and a good alternative to more expensive Alienware laptops if you really wanted that color led lit keyboard. Infact the Steelseries keyboard is better than that you can find on Alienware so this is a step forward. Well just check out the video for all the other information you may want, remember you can find more videos posted to the product page @ GentechPC.com and if you have more questions post here on our video or go visit our forums.

i have the gt683dx. seriously this laptop? fucking rocks ass!
its the same hardware?
This or the Asus g75vw when? it comes to cooling?
how? much
that fan force looks? handy, heat os what killed my old XPS M1730 :c i loved that laptop. but i guess 4 hours of crysis 1 in highest settings was just too much
The one I am ordering comes with 3x4GB. Do the first two get installed under the keyboard in order to leave an open RAM slot? under the bottom cover?
Man I just ordered this about a week and a half ago….? I am getting a little anxious about when its going to come in but I hope that when it does, its going to be worth it
Purchased one custom made with all the options available SSD’s, upgraded ram, upgraded CPU …. when it worked it was a good machine. That being said its only worked about 3 weeks out of? the last 7 months! It’s been in for repair several times and keeps coming back with BSOD issues that MSI tech cant seem to figure out. You couldnt pay me to take another one ….
what i hate? bout this laptop is there is no button to eject the cd/dvd while in booting or starting up… cause it needs to run the S-bar program to activate most of the touch buttons on the top of the keyboard.
This laptop is a fucking? stove.
OMG a dedicated porn hiding button! Now I need this laptop!?
Or wait for? MSI GT60/70? ^^
2.0ghz in a laptop won’t lag any with gaming. Also. Mobile Cpu’s? can’t be clocked as high because you can’t put massive air coolers or watercooling into a laptop so they are clocked lower with lower voltage to lower temps
MSI? GT780 or wait for the upcoming ASUS G75 to be released?
JBL is by me the best sound, but for? notebook this is also great sound!
I hears this? loptop has some issues
Do you know of any optical audio out adapters that are compatible with this? ? Also if using a GTX580, i7 2860QM, and 12GB of 1600MHz RAM will this be able to run most games smoothly (at least 60 fps)? I’m looking for my first gaming laptop (coming from a console) and am not 100% on how important some things are than others so any help would go a very long way for me.
can this laptop be upgraded in future, with better graphic cards, and y is it only 2.0GHZ? it may arise any problems(slowing)? while gaming
oh my! my dad told me that i’ll be getting this next? week..
but he told me that i’ll get the more affordable version…
i5-2410m 2.3 ghz
8gb ddr3 1333mhz
nvidia gtx560m 1.5 gb ddr5
anyways i love the design especially the backlit keyboard
kinda reminds me of alienware.
can this computer handle bf3 on ultra Full HD?… and how’s the speakers and the keyboard??.. and is it easy to upgrade from a Hard disc to a? ssd?… and is it possible to change graphics ccard in a couple years for the new type of games?.. and is it good?
Im getting? one in 2-4days
I’ve had this computer for about 4 months now. Gotta say, it the best investment I’ve ever made on a computer. Because laptop parts are hard to upgrade, especially the graphics card and the CPU, I wanted to buy a laptop that’ll last me for a while while maintaining a high standard for gaming. I’ve thrown starcraft 2, battlefield 3, civilization V and it’s handled them all. The fan on this? computer is insane and will keep your computer cool. I love it. I’d happily answer any questions ppl have
is the screen of this computer decent? enough not to choose a computer with 95% Gamut Screen?
This is my dream? compy…
No, MSI, Asus and Clevo is good priced. Alienware is? overpriced!!!
