Cordless Tool Battery Hack Adds New Life to the Dead

Full procedure – absolutely FREE. This out of the box solution will correct the polarity reversal of the Ni-CD or Ni-MH cells that prevent the battery pack from accepting a charge. I got this trick from a Prof at a University a long time ago and have always shared it freely. As with most knowledge, this fix is all over the net now … as it should be. However, please beware, there are some who want to charge you money for a guide to fix your charging troubles. Guess what? The “guide” is based on this very same hack. Personally, I think it unscrupulous when anyone tries and capitalize on an idea that isn’t even theirs! All information should be available to whomever wants it … and it should always be free!

Just tested? this on batteries that I had and it worked thank you.
Lastly, after reassembling the battery and charging it, my drill works like new with lots of torque etc. I will try this out on my friends two dead dewalt batteries this weekend, though they may be permanently burned on not “dendrited” like mine was, what I’m going to try first though is zapping the battery as a whole from the outside and see if that works, so as? not to have to disassemble, does that sound feasible??
, my output voltage for the whole battery went from 8 volts, to? 12.5! This allowed my to retain my original drill motor and battery for the cost of 0.00, but I wouldn’t be against replacing the individual batteries in the future with higher mAh versions, if I was using it much more frequently. Btw the method I used before trying out the 12v hi-amp car recharger portable battery, was my regular battery charger for AA’s and C’s, after leaving them hooked up to that for a few minutes it worked
Thanks for the videos, I had a Firestorm cordless 12v that was near death, but I don’t use it enough around the house to charge/discharge properly, after watching your other videos about reconditioning etc. I decided to try it out and it worked great! I ended up using? my rescue charger from the car (for quick jump starts), and without removing any individual batteries, carefully zapped the ones that showed 0 voltage for about a second, after doing this on at least 4 of the batteries,
it really works, it is good for nature, very very very bad? for the Corporate capitalism
and for wall street …)) .thanks again
Thanks for your time Phxexaminer
?
I see.
1 – Yes. Correct.
2 – 12 volts DC. Use 12 volt auto battery or a transformer that converts house electricity to 12 volts DC.
3 – (+ to +) and (- to -)
Yes. it should wake up battery.
Thank you,? avsarby11 from Holland!
I can also not english, I use google translation
1 – test the batteries one by one , then see which are 0 volts. 0 volts is bad.
and then we mark 0 volt baterry …
2 – we shock him. but by how much volts?
3- ( + to +) ? or ( + to – ) connection cables by battery, during shock procedure?
I have my 12 volt battery is charged above the 13.5 volts, but battery is quickly discharged
it’s time I should buy new one, or on your way I can wake up battery?
Thank you wery much
Greating from Holland
Put it in? the fire, or Micowave.. I will work as new
Thanks. I did all the wrong things with the first one (left it alone on a full charge w/o use for many months. Left it on the charger for weeks at a time.)
Live and learn. Amazing that? I got what I did out of it!
It’s a great idea, but I cannot devote the time needed. How about you doing it?

Sounds like it? has done very well for you at four years old. Most last really good ones last 2-3 years. Recycle it. You’ve have the best it’ll give. Increasing usage time on new 1, or prevent “memory” effect- Never charge it and then not use it. Try to use all of the juice till it just can’t do any more before, then recharge it if you’ve still got work to do. If not, then store it. Store it in the basement or someplace cool. Not in the garage – especially in summer. It’ll charge 300-400 times.
I have a 4 year old 18 volt battery that came with a B&D chain saw. It shows 20 volts after charging, but only lasts a few minutes. Seems to have developed? a short memory, Any tips on increasing the usage time? Or is it time to just recycle it?
I have the Black & Decker chain saw that uses this battery. After 4 years it was only good for one cut, so I bought a new battery. The old one still shows 20? volts on the meter after a charge. Would this procedure help? I don’t have much to lose to try I suppose. Just wondering.
please write this procedure step by step ,for people who can not understand english,,we can translate it? on google…Thanks
I’m looking at instructions for doing? the same thing but without dis assembly of the pack…just shocking through the whole pack through the charge terminals Is your method better?
Thanks ..? Um, grow a beard? LOL That’s a bit? funny since I had a full beard at age 17. Curse of the Italian Genes, me thinks.
You’ve missed the point – the shock is to force a single cell’s polarity reversal? back to its original position. Not meant to correct an undercharge or provide additional charging to the cells. It’s the reversed polarity of those backward cells that prevents the entire pack from charging normally.
Make sense?
Thx
it was really fun? to see what you have made hope you grow a beard
too danger for me..leave it to the monkey…i try it? my hand got burn..
As long? as you have everything dis-assembled, why not shock all the batteries, they are all in various stages of failure anyways.
so how i could? fix my NICD ?
This? is bad dude!
NO! NO! DO NOT USE THIS ON LITHIUM! If you watched the vid, I say explicitly this is for Ni-Cad ONLY.
YES – it WILL explode in? your face, and take most of the room with it. Then, it will keep burning intensely for a long time after that. Course, you won’t see that cause you won’t have any eyes left, or face … hell, you’d be lucky (or not) to live through it.
Look in the comments below. I explain it. Also, it’s our “consumable”? economy that drives manufacturers to build things with “planned obsolescence”. So we keep buying.

you’ll be shocked … First. Then really pissed off at the scope of it. Every industry is involved.
