where can i get good working and lasting screens for my toshiba? satellite 15″
Technically the polarity does not matter with CCFL,
however the inverter connector is keyed to be plugged in a certain way.
If you plug it in against the key, you will eventually end up with a? burned connector due to insufficient contact.
hello, What way should the inverter cable connect, should the pink wire be at the bottom or? top?

Now, I have a p305 s8904 and recently it displays magneta pixels and some green pixels. Some of these wrongly colored pixels flicker. Some times when I re position the screen I will be able to correct the problem. Recently it’s been happening more often. Before if I just tapped the screen slightly the problem? would go away. Tapping no longer works. I think the issue is with the inverter connection. Maybe its loose?
How? do you take off the rubber screw covers??

@2FUNNYMIKE –me too!!! how did you finally get those? tiny screws in?? i heard about a magnetic phillips screw driver…i might go buy one cuz i can’t the screws to sit in the frame hole long enough to screw them in. they fall right out grrr

I’m pretty sure thats the coaxial cable which runs up to the Wi-Fi antenna.? You should solder the core with a piece of single core wire, then insulate, then join the outer shielding as well as you can, then insulate that, and it should be alright. Sorry to hear about your troubles =(
i have a question what is that white wire that is close to the inverter on the outer side of the hinges that runs up the side of the screen. because mine just snapped. and i dont know what it is.. and? i know a wire snapping shouldnt be good at all. because they all have a purpose. please answer. thanks
