Display replacement is easy on all laptops; HP, DELL, ACER, ASUS, APPLE, SAMSUNG, TOSHIBA, COMPAQ and other notebooks all share similar LCD panels, with LED or CCFL backlight, which need to come out of the bezel to be replaced with a new screen. Make sure to disconnect the power and remove the battery, laptop’s inverter has high voltage, don’t get shocked.

I laptop has a problem with the lcd. It flickers on higher brightness settings and eventually the display shuts off. I can turn it back on but the same thing occurs, should I open it up and check? the connections? I’ve never opened up a computer before and I’m quite nervous.

GREAT video, but like many newer? HP laptops, my HP dm3-1035dx does NOT have screws holding the screen in place. PLEASE post a video showing how to replace these screens! Looks like others have the same question too…

Going to follow this video in 5 days because i have a crack in my screen. Very descriptive. had the laptop? for 5 years i restore it every year and it runs like new. i ordered a new charger and screen from amazon for 104.89
got my new screen in. and got it installed! yay! its working like new once again! please note though when putting your new screen in, it can be very tricky. as they say dont let the? screen fall on its own. GENTLE GENTLE GENTLE
