How to Remove Hard Disk Drive, How to Remove Mainboard How to Remove Processor Hey Guys I’m out of time for now, will add audio and text instructions along with other parts of this video soon, 1: First remove the Battery and all the visible screws on the back of the system 2: Remove rubber, then screws under 3: There are 4 clips holding the keyboard, they are located under the F keys, (F1 ,F7, KEY AFTER F12, AND HOME KEY )With a fine flat screwdriver gently push back the clips and raise the keyboard up, NOTE: there is an adhesive tape under the left side of the keyboard which is tightly holding it in place, raise the right side and try to pry it off with a prying tool, look at the video to see the location of the tape. 4: Remove the 5 screws which is holding the top cover and Disconnect the cables…mouse, usb, video…etc… Take Top cover off. 5: Remove Hard Disk. 6: Locate the 2 screws holding the Mainboard and remove then, ensure all cables are Disconnected and Remember to push the clip holding the MoBo in place. Remove the Mainboard. 7: Remove the Heatsink from the CPU, Unlock the Socket and Remove the Processor For all those people struggling to get their HD out, hope it helps, Will add move details soon. Nope. I opened mine up for the? same exact reason. It’s built into the motherboard. It’s located right next to the CPU fan on the motherboard, near the left side of the laptop.

1. my fans are working as far as i know without taking it apart yet.
2. i? think they might be dirty. I will have to take it apart and clean it out with compressed air
3. I’ll try this step when I get to this point. Thanks a lot again.
1: Ensure your fans are working
2: Ensure the fan is Clean. If the fan blades and clogged with dust/debris it will cause the fan to preform poor, thus over heat.
3: If all the above it ok, Check bios and whatever overclocking software and reset? system to default settings.

Hi,I have the same laptop Dell Inspiron 15r with I3 370M processor, 4GB ram, and 500GB HDD. Its a year old computer but I’ve noticed that the temperature is slowly getting higher.
And a couple of days ago when I played a game called Silent Hunter, it overheated and shut down. I’ve played that game on this computer about 6 months ago? and it was great. Now I’m running only this page and core temp is running about 55 degree C. Is it normal temp and what can i do to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Ok to simplify things first step is to figure out your mainboard socket type, or if you know the socket type of the old processor then just search for a new processor with the same socket type .
Once new processors were manufacture to work on that specific socket then it would be? able to connect to your mainboard and run in your system; however a bios update may be required.
if you have a 1st generation i3 can you replace it with 2nd gen i3 processor on this laptop?? please help!
