Cool tech! I see Nvidia discrete GPU is always active except in desktop. I haven’t got one so didn’t test it out but both Flash 10.1 and MPC support DXVA in Intel IGPs beginning with 4 series and they can handle HD videos. So I think the? discrete GPU is much more active than it should be.

Also, with Optimus tech both discrete GPU and IGP use the same frame buffer. Doesn’t this cause a bottleneck? Because IGPs use slow system memory whereas GPUs use high speed GDDR3/5 memories.

I have the asus? u30jt, and i’m wonding if i have to install any drivers or anything, my optimus doesnt seem to be working , when i watch 1080p videos they don’t work in full screen.

Where can i download that nvidia devloper tool?

Unfortunately I don’t think consumers can get their hands on it. I myself was looking for a copy to use for demonstration after this video went up and? was informed it was supplied only for review purposes.
