Acer Aspire TimelineX 4820TG It is a light, powerful laptop that costs around 750-800 Dollars. Its fast and has a very good battery life. It can run most games smoothly, although I haven’t tried more stressful games. Overall, it is a very good laptop that is good for school, light surfing, work and gaming. It is a winner in my book.

If you right click on your background screen, there should be an option switchable graphics, or somewhere in? the catalyst control center.
Hi, I have asimilar laptop? (a little newer version) with intel core i5 (sandy bridge), with 4gb ram, and 1gb or vram (dedicated). I just wanted to know how do I know when the dedicated gpu kicks in when I play games? and how do I activate it for some particular games? Thanks in advance.

Ill have to comment this because i have this com, so it runs crysis 2, MW2, bad company 2, oblivion and dead space 2 really good, not with max graphics, but with lover,? no lag at all….and batterylife is really good, i havent overcloced or done other modifications btw, really quiet, and good price ratio(bought mine with 600e new)
Um will the Acer? Aspire TimelineX AS1830T be able to run the same fps/or even run games? Plz means alot to me thanks

hi installing duel boot OS is easy to do with things like Linux however it become much more difficult with OS X because apple don’t want you to do it. you fist need a program that can read the mac files then something to compile the OS not to mention that it? is against there term of use. if you need to use OS X the buy a cheep apple mac book and install windows on there it may not be ideal but its your best bet thanks.
Damn. I bought the same laptop and the same laptop specs as you have there. And my HyperMemory can only go up at 1655!! Unlike yours, it can go up around 2550. Shitty country. They don’t sell high performance Laptops here. I’m from Philippines by the way.?
Not that a lot to be? honest. I can’t even find the dead space =/ Its a very comfy touch pad.
How much dead? space is there in the middle where you cant push it down? I ordered it today off amazon. Hopefully It’s not too much dead space.
The trackpad button is? a single button. Works like a regular two button mouse though. Left side is left click right side is right click.
Hey man, I really want to buy this laptop but I have a question before I do. Can you use the middle of the trackpad button? Or is it like? a seesaw where the middle is really stiff? Thanks if you answer this.

The touchpad is great. I was having thoughts that it might have problems working? after reinstalling the windows, but after installing the drivers it works perfectly. It is smooth and comfortable. The drivers also allow you to play with its setting a lot so there is a lot of room to play around with. As in measurements the touchpad is 3 and a half inches by 2 excluding keys. So 3.5 inches wide 2 inches long. Hope that helps!
Thx for your quick answer! One of the reaseons i’m changing my Lenovo g550 laptop is that the touchpad is really laggy. It drives me crazy while im trying to use it and it doesn’t move like i want!
How is it here? Does the touchpad works smoothly? How are the multitouch features? Are they reallly usable?
And one more question: Can you please? measure the size of the touchpad in cm or inch from edge to edge NOT including the buttons?

I have the 60W or 6-Cell battery. I take? it to school daily. With browsing wifi on and some other stuff in the background it runs for 6 hours with like 40% brightness. Without wifi and minimum brightness and just PDF and Word, I’m sure you can squeeze out 8 hours. Ill test it just for you and see how long it lasts.
