The battery life is great. On their? website they claim 13 hours, but users claim 10. Still, both are AMAZING!

It wont “conk out”. But? I would pass up Windows XP and put Ubuntu on it. You cant go wrong with that. You can install Ubuntu from a USB drive, but if you want to install Windows XP you might have to hook up a external DVD drive.
Question: This netbook comes with Windows 7 starter edition. Will I? be able to format the harddrive and install windows xp on it instead? Or will the computer “conk out”?

The ONE thing i dont like about this netbook is the display and video playback. is there? any chance of a simmilar model coming out with the ability to handle HD? (1080p)
might be too late, but you can? look on amazon for an external cd/dvd drive. they are around 30-40$

This is definitely a netbook I’m considering to buy—but one question: I’m horribly inexperienced when it comes to computers, so can someone tell me if there’s a way to get some sort of external DVD/disc drive? I’m a graphic artist, and I would like to be able to get Photoshop Elements on one of these since I run around a lot.
On that note, anyone else have PSE on an ASUS and can say if it works well or? not?
