This video will show you unlockers how to use SAM and activate your phone. You no longer need to use redsn0w The benefit of Subscriber Artificial Module (SAM) as opposed to hacktivation is that it will result in great battery life, fully working push notifications and so on just like how it is on the officially activated iPhones. Follow the instructions posted below to officially activate your iPhone using this new method. Step 1: Open Cydia and add ‘repo.bingner.com repository’ to your sources Step 2 Install “SAM” and “SAMPrefs” Step 3: Open Settings and scroll down to SAM and click utilities, then revert lockdownd Step 4: Start iTunes with your iPhone connected. Allow iTunes to activate your iPhone officially. Note: If iTunes says invalid SIM, you will need to manually select the appropriate carrier under one of the methods besides “Automatic” and click on a SIMID. I have Iphone 3G 4.2.1? firmware. I hacktivated it using redsn0w and I can’t find a way to fix my push notifications. Nothing has worked! Please help.

hi i? have an iphone 3g with 4.1(8b117) and 6.15.00 baseband. and i when i tap deactivate my carrier stays and doesn’t go “no service”. and i don’t think it fix my battery issue.
This worked on an old iPhone 3G? with iOS 4.2.1 baseband 06.15.00, previously unlocked with Ultrasn0w.
I have used redsnow to jailbreak my 5.1 3gs and did ultrasn0w and ultrasn0w 5.1 fixer. I ran sam and did the revert lockdownd then hooked? to itunes then nothing. any help appreciated

do you have to have service on your sim card to make this work?! or u dont need the sim card at all?! i have an ATT BUT MY I DONT HAVE SERVICE ITS all suspended…

@DrJailBreak I have iphone 3g on custom firmware 4.2.1 BB 05.13.04 with battery drain issues on 3G & non working push … I tried Sam as u explained and after some trials i finally managed to activate it on itunes with the original carrier name but ofcourse not my actual carrier .. but still push notifications not working & no signal nor name of carrier appears .. should I then install ultrasnow ?? or? what am I doing wrong ??

Could someone please help me, I’ve been having issues with my iPhone for Months now. It’s Jailbroken, never had any problems until a few months ago. It will occaionally send & receive calls/texts. Sometimes it says I need to pick a new carrier. & Will say “No Signal”. It’s? an off & on thing & I have no idea how to fix it. I have the SAM.. under “More Info” it says it’s Unactivated? How do I fix this?
Network is: T-mobile, Version is: 4.2.1
0.9.9 is for ipad not iphone. use 0.9.6b6?
Hey, i tried this fix with redsnow? 0.9.9b7 but it stops after deactivation level 2 while rebooting.. the programm doesnt do anything anymore

@DrJailBreak? Hey I downloaded redsnow 0.9.6 beta 6 and i tunes because this is my first unlocked and jailbroken iphone, i intalled SAM and I can’t go as far as the browse part when you open redsnow. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, but my computer can’t find the phone in the documents or anything. It’s in i tunes and that’s it. Am I supposed to use redsnow in itunes? My phone has been synced to my computer but I give up LOL. I’ve looked everywhere on the computer and can’t find the file.

Sorry for taking so long to answer. The cause of my battery issue was that when I jailbroke it via Pwnage, when restoring via iTunes, I needed to restore it as a NEW phone. When you restore it from a backup, it will cause issues. Two other? things that will definitely increase battery life. Logging out of the Apple Store (SETTINGS>STORE>LOGOUT), and tuning off iTune’s PING service (SETTINGS>GENERAL>RESTRICTIONS>Enter your code>Turn OFF PING.
If some could help me it would be much appreciated.
I am unable to activate using sam even though i have tried every possible carrier and sim id.
The phone i have is an overseas phone and according to the model – MC131B, it could be locked to either O2 IE or? O2 UK. I have even read somewhere that this model could be a product of orange and or vodaphone.
I am completely stuck, does anyone have any specific knowledge in regards to this model number. It would be greatly appreciated
