Also do you think it is safe for anyone to open up the back hatch or should this be done by an expert?
i have had this laptop for less than a month now and in the past week it has shut down 2 times because of the videocard, do you know if this error accurs more often in this model? still an awesome laptop

And why can’t do halo 1 (8 years old game) while I rendering a 10 minute old film? I haven’t got this laptop, but mine include intel core i7 too.

The engine is the processor and motherboard, and yes changing either of those should be considered a violation of the warranty.

HP lists it as standard in the quickspecs. Maybe you only get that if you buy the high end ones with the i7 CPUs, which would explain also why you show less cores.

If you don’t know what you are doing, ask a local repair? shop to open the back panel for you. Anything you do in there can void your warranty.
