In case yes, are there any bad/irritating artifacts or so compared to using that lens on the full-format 5dmII?

I’m considering investing in that lens before I do my leap to a full-format camera. Currently using 450D, with crop factor 1.6.
I’ve convinced myself that 24mm 1.4L II is the lens for my needs. I wanna be a prime man.
