Famicom Dojo: Famicom and Disk System
See more at FamicomDojo.TV: famicomdojo.tv Season 1, Episode 1 For our first episode, we review the Nintendo’s first gaming console, as well as the Famicom Disk System attachment that was never released outside of Japan. Released two years earlier than the NES, this system served as the basis for Nintendo’s rise to power — even if it was heavily redesigned when it was brought to North America and the rest of the world. @yumiinomo No,? you’re thinking of the belt that’s inside the system.
@TastyCakeGaming …Oh wait.? That’s what I get for posting comments before a nap XD
@SeanOrange Darn, I really wanted to play Mother with the mic. I just wanted to shout PK THUNDER! At? the screen.
Vinnk (or someone) can correct me if? I’m wrong, but I THINK that Mother was only release on cartridge. The only way to get a copy on FDS is if it’s one of those dreaded “pirate” games. :O
So does that mean I can go out and buy, say, a blank disk with,? maybe Mother?
Darn right!? I always knew I was the good one.
Spoony is this guy’s? evil twin.
You are thinking of the rubber belt? in the Disk System.
You got powned? More like? pawned.
No…? Why? would it?
No,? Serial
Don’t? the famicom disks melt in the system?
Ha! I hadn’t even thought about that. Yeah, it does kind? of resemble a squatter, whiter FDS.
Nintendo, are you listening? How come you didn’t release a special 25th anniversary FSS edition in 2011?? XD
Still no idea. It’s the butt? of occasional jokes in later videos. We’ll figure it out eventually, I’m sure!
Do you know the use of the expansion port that is? on the RAM adapter? I am curious…
looks like a? game system that they would offer in the county jail. :/
Your not a youtube partner? weird….anyway? awesome video i like Famicom Grand Prix II – 3D Hot Rally that was awesome. Still is.
And two years after its US launch it came to Europe and Australia with….? nothing.
Has anyone noticed that the? Wii fits under the Famicom almost perfectly, and resembles a FDS?! You could paint the Wii like the FDS and put the Fami over it and make it look awesomely retro!!!
The Family Computer Robot / ROB wasn’t released until 1985, and since the Famicom was originally released in 1983 it indeed was released without the Robot and (to my knowledge) was always sold separately.
Also, The Family? Computer Robot came with Stack Up and not Gyromite like ROB did in the US.
Wasnt the Family Computer Robot launched? with the Famicom? Or was it only the NES that had ROB at launch?
so…built-on-handheld? mic are VENTRILO’s predecessors? that would be insanely cool
I? LOVE MY FAMICOM!!!!!
wow i have one? of these! unopened!
FUCKING GENIUS.?
