This is my homemade notebook cooler that cost me around 3 dollars and some random computer parts I had sitting around the house. This is used on my Asus EeePC1000H but this could be used for most small to midsize laptops.

i have a the fan from side….how can i cool the thing??
Check the system monitor application, under your applications->utilities folder If there? is a program that’s putting a load on your computer unnecessarily, you can shut it down from there. Also, there have been overheating issues with the early plastic macbooks. (Core Duo, not Core 2 Duo)I believe the problem was that the glue messed with the insulation on the temperature sensor wires. That’s why they are now held in place with Kapton tape. Hope this helps you.
Note: If you are able to find the 12 volt rail of an? eSata-cable, the fans will work better. I’d imagine though that the wires would be a bit thinner.
Just two pointers: 1) are the? fans sucking or blowing? 2) Show the improvement, degress cooling, like without cooling and with cooling.

I’m sure this is? a dumb question, but you place your fans under what your pc vents or does it matter and do you want the fans to blow upward to to draw away from the laptop.
also? can you use the cooling fan that has the red black and yellow wires

for those of you that dont have any way of buying a fan, what i did was take the fans off of some old computers i had collecting dust in my basement there should be 2 fans in a standard computer. after about an? hour of tinkering i got some fans and made my own
