Laptop Inverter Board Replacement to FIX DIM VIDEO
In this video I replace the inverter board of a Dell Inspiron 6400. The reason the inverter board needed to be replaced is because the display was VERY dim. If you can barely see what is displayed on your LCD Screen you may need a new inverter board. Better yet, how did you remove the? plate on the inverter?
Is there a screw on the inverter to remove it from the plate, or did you just pull it off by like lifting? the metal tabs?

hey there! we have here a toshiba satellite laptop here. my problem is that, sometimes the laptop screen is dim which you could barely see what’s in the screen and we restart it to see if it might get back to normal when? done, and yes it goes back to normal. sometimes too, the screen flickers whenever we turn it on. how will i repair this? thank you.

my inspiron 6400 had lcd? problem. the pure white become cyan . and pure play become reddish? what the problem?
i have a gateway nv73? and all it does the laptop powers on but no display i replaced the lcd sceen and still does the same thing, i wasnt able to connect it to external monitor cause i dont know the code ex (fn + f4) do u think its the inverter board?

Nice post. I can’t say any more. I? was experiencing the same Dark Screen problem with my Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop for last 2 weeks. Inspired by the video only I decided to order the Inverter and replaced it today successfully. The display is just like new now. Marvelous!!!
Great video, I had the same problem with the dim screen, however after replacing the inverter, the? screen is still dim. Any ideas as to what the cause of the screen still being dim would be? Thanks

I would recommend checking for loose connections before trying to replace any parts. Let? me know if you would like me to check it for you I do a free estimate at my shop.

great video. i would like to ask about compaq nx9020, same problem if i move the screen to desired sitting location, it? goes blank, so chkd with second monitor; which works fine even default screen is dim. what problem you reckon it could be..is it inverter or backlight. kindly advise.

I would start with checking ALL LCD screen and inverter board connections. It is very possible that there is a loose connection somewhere. We do? a free estimate at my shop if you would like me to check it over for you.
Great? video. Question: my Inspiron sometimes turns on and the screen works, but when I move it, it turns black, or very dim to see (video board is ok, since I can see on an LCD for example) and I have to move the screen to get image. Now it has stopped completely (the laptop works fine, only the screen). From your experience, is the inverter what is failing?

Be VERY careful with this connection and a? rocking motion may be the best way to remove it. Every connection on a laptop is fragile so caution must be used at all levels.
it was around 2:02 to actually remove? the connector for the inverter
Could you tell me? the time in the video that you are referring to? For example at 0:08 I remove the battery. Be VERY careful with the connections as they will break very easily.
one question though as i cant really tell from the vid..you just hold the two blue strips and pull the connector from the inverter? or do you kind of? rock it out. Sorry for the newb question lol
