one question though as i cant really tell from the vid..you just hold the two blue strips and pull the connector from the inverter? or do you kind of? rock it out. Sorry for the newb question lol

Could you tell me? the time in the video that you are referring to? For example at 0:08 I remove the battery. Be VERY careful with the connections as they will break very easily.

it was around 2:02 to actually remove? the connector for the inverter

Be VERY careful with this connection and a? rocking motion may be the best way to remove it. Every connection on a laptop is fragile so caution must be used at all levels.

Great? video. Question: my Inspiron sometimes turns on and the screen works, but when I move it, it turns black, or very dim to see (video board is ok, since I can see on an LCD for example) and I have to move the screen to get image. Now it has stopped completely (the laptop works fine, only the screen). From your experience, is the inverter what is failing?

I would start with checking ALL LCD screen and inverter board connections. It is very possible that there is a loose connection somewhere. We do? a free estimate at my shop if you would like me to check it over for you.

hi,
great video. i would like to ask about compaq nx9020, same problem if i move the screen to desired sitting location, it? goes blank, so chkd with second monitor; which works fine even default screen is dim. what problem you reckon it could be..is it inverter or backlight. kindly advise.
