Cool vid. My g/f’s older 1545 no longer has a visible display until she holds a light to it. I’ll try the inverter first but now I know where I’ll buy a new panel from. I’m overseas now but should be home the end of the month for vacation. Wonder what the shipping time on a new display would be since I only have 3 weeks this year. Might need to? just hook up an external display otherwise. Thanks!!!

Nice video. I like your little variant of leaving the screen holder attached and to the laptop frame (why not right) it’s a nice little time saver and should make the re-attachment go even easier. I just wanted to point out one thing. You probably don’t normally do it that way but you pulled the cable to the inverter out on the right? side by pulling on the cables rather then edging out the white plastic power plug probably not the best way to do it.
I actually was curious enough to look up who Davros? was. Pretty funny!

Thanks for the video! Very informative. The first screen I looked at getting was LED,? not knowing that the two aren’t compatible. 1 question though. Is the existing tape on the connector sufficient enough to re-apply the connector?
