Honestly,? I am not advertising or anything, but the lenovo y580 is way cheaper than this ($1000) and it comes with a gtx 660m 2 gb and an i7 3610qm quad core, plus it is much thinner and I have heard that the cooling is even better, I don’t even have the y580, so I am just trying to tell you guys about a better deal.

i have the asus g55 , got it 3 days ago. it is rly good, it runs quiet, and fast. And i play BF3 on medium settings with 47-69 fps . high 34-43 – ultra 24-34 …. and the other games i play …..max settings np. I bought my self , a keebord, and gaming mouse…so …i use it as a desktop, and still….whenever i want..i can? take it with me

Hey , I am the owner of a G53 and was very proud of it until the problem with the screen apeared . I did some reading and many people have a problem with the lcd , after some time we got? some yellow artifacts over the screen , then went worse and worse until the screen was shacking big time. I am lucky that i still have waranty on it , but it passed 4 weeks allready and i am still waiting because they had to ask for suport from assus in order to get it fixed . Well good luck with yours
how is upgrading the ram ? is it as easy as upgrading on the g73 ? I am planning on getting the ASUS? G55VW-ES71 which is only gimped by its 8g ram and a rather small hard drive (500 gigs)

if you? connect it with HDTV via HDMI or mini projector via USB will everything work with closed or will laptop go to stand by/sleep mode?
