I put it on there by choice. I used to do more with katakana/hiragana when I was taking Japanese. And since then, I’ve just always put it on there as an option.

if you go to system preferences, international, then input menu. there’s a box on the bottom you can uncheck.

The Zire is just too basic and not expandable even though it’s a lot newer than the Visor. I’d really like a Nokia N810 for Christmas.
