Pokémon Game? Boy Color? Never heard of that Pokémon game.
Practice makes perfect!? Happy retro gaming!
How did you make this look so easy?
when I tried this? myself, it took me a lot longer than 7 mins and I scratched the circuit board pretty bad. Thank goodness the game still worked perfectly and saved.
Uhm. Uhm Uhmhuhm uhm.?
Here’s my best guess without having it in front of me.
(See our FAQ link under? video for more info):
A1: Make sure that? the battery is in correctly (Positive matching + and Negative matching -).
A2: Sometimes it helps to wrap a thin strip of electrical tape around the edge of the battery. This can help to prevent a metal contact from touching both the battery’s positive and negative sizes simultaneously.
A3: Try cleaning the game and board. The metal contacts most commonly need cleaning.
After replacing the battery it still only keeps the save file for? around a minute. Any idea why. By the way it is pokemon silver

I tried replacing the battery of my copy of Pokemon Crystal, but the save still doesn’t work. I used a CR2025 battery. Did I need a different battery like it says in the? description?
This is the worst thing you could ever do, it damages the cartridge and can cause over heating leading to a battery leak, if you want it repaired and a new battery, that won’t destroy it message me, I install a whole new battery and the come with the tabs so I just de solder the old one and solder a whole new fitting. If you? want to look google robsgamerepairs DOT webs DOT com
Nope, now i can again save my position. I’m afraid that the position is deleting again. Maybe cartridge itself is damage. (srry? for very bad engrish
)
Not sure, do you think your battery came? loose?
I have two weeks ago replace battery, and today a wanna save my game and a see white screen. Restart gameboy and…..save was delete. S**t.
What? is wrong ?
Yard sales could work…. That’s? how I got my Pokemon Red game…..
And I sent you a reply? xd
I’d suggest inspecting them in hand. It’s hard to know without looking at the board. Good news is there are lots of videos on how? to identify fakes. If you’re going to buy online, stick with trusted sellers. Hopefully a good seller will weed out fakes. We inspect all of ours now that there are so many fakes on the market.
dude thank? you so much!!!!
I’ve sent you a pm ^^?
the cr2025 battery works fine on yellow, but I suggest cr2032 as it? lasts longer. The light problem idk.
It’s a lot easier than popping? those clips off.
Well done!? Happy gaming!
It worked! I purchased a 3.8mm security bit off ebay for only 5 bucks, i? suggest everyone to get one. Finally i can play my pokemon games! Thank you so much for the great video (:
It would be hell trying to replace? it again, getting the tape off.
You have a super famicon??? you lucky bastard,? no offense
Without having it in hand, it’s hard to say. Best? of luck!
Hey maybe you can help me out. I can’t seem to get the game to load on my GBC. The first screen that says GAMEBOY comes up and it says Nintendo on the bottom, and it goes to the next screen but nothing comes up. I’ve looked at the circuit board and was wondering what that thing that? is taped down in the upper left hand corner is, as I have tested it with a multimeter and it doesn’t seem to have a current going through.
