**The dv6-6135 does, in fact, house a proper dedicated graphics card, the 6750M with 1 GB of GDDR5 memory. This card activates only during games and other 3D applications. To make things crystal clear, the hype-jargon term “dual graphics” means instead “switchable,” not “Crossfire,” which is AMD’s dual-GPU graphics solution. The reason I was confused about this is because the performance seemed too low for a GDDR5-equipped graphics card, and that’s because the A8 3500M processor is too weak to let the 6750M perform up to its full potential. yeah i dont know what the hell he’s talking about most of the time. fast processor, good RAM( I have the version with 8 GIG RAM rather than 6), good cooler, and most importantly, FANTASTIC GRAPHICS!!!!! what is he talking about when? he says, “for competitive gamers, ignore the living shit out of it.” um, yeah. that’s why i can play Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Saints Row 3, and Batman Arkham City with high graphics and high performance. not to be hateful, but WHAT A SHITTY REVIEW!
Would? this be able to run games like Skyrim and Guild Wars 2 on low-med settings?

I have the version of this with 2 gigs more of ram and my friend has the version in the video and they are both more than good enough to be a desktop replacement. Beats audio makes it a perfect pc for music, however, I recommend using external audio as the internal? speakers are loud, but not bassy. This is also a great pc to render videos and I am pretty sure it would handle 3d imaging software pretty well.
Do you think? this would play Minecraft good?

i actually play it on the med/high settings with? textures at ultra and get almost no lag

The A8 3500M and 6620G do just fine together, especially? when you overclock things with K10 Stat. If I’m going to buy anything with a discrete graphics it’s going to be with an Intel I7. Point I’m trying to make is if your going to buy the A8 which is fantastic? just stick with the 6620G
That is a really tough question. If the 7690m has GDDR5 memory, it will be slightly faster than the i5/525m combo. If the VRAM speed is unspecified, then it’s most likely just DDR3. Whatever the case, if one or the other has a 7200 RPM HDD, go for that notebook.? It makes a bigger difference than VRAM speed believe it or not.
How about A8-3550mx with? 7690m? Will it game better that core i5 with 525m? Both are at similar price point
With a Core i3, the? 540m will be on even ground, but with a Core i5 the 540m will be a better GPU.
there is a new one on newegg, it has the same everything , except? it has a AMD Radeon HD 6755G2 Dual GPU, will it game as well as a gt 540m? or better?

@frigginjoe If you put it to 2.2 ghz? in each core at stock voltage and its stable!
I set mine to run at 2.4Ghz with 4? cores, and 2.85ish in Turbo mode, and it’s now stable, producing heat well beneath the safe zone and it’s no longer adequate, but FAST now.

Actually when there’s both a 6620g and 6750m, there’s asymmetrical Crossfire support. For games that have decent CF support, of course. (the pair of these two GPU’s is technically a 6755G2)
I just learned of this recently and was surprised to see two different GPU’s with different dedicated memory sizes having CF enabled. Very cool.
I ordered another computer with this config, the? Dv7-6165 and the reviews are very positive amongst users. Even gamers with reasonable expectations.

The cpu is not weak just overclock it? to 2.2 and u will get 6.9 of windows rating is like a i5 cpu!
