I haven't owned a Lenovo Thinkpad yet, only an IBM (around the time of the Lenovo acquisition) T43p. It was built like a tank, and has lasted even up to now (after replacing the screen, hard drive and keyboard, I still use it for small tasks at work). Looking to upgrade to a new model, though. Have the X220 in my sights. Have you gotten your hands on one yet?

Our experience so far has been pretty good, but we have only been buying them for a year now and have about 10 T500's, 3 x200's and 10 T510's. No failures so far. They are extremely robust and all the features just scream business and enterprise. (talking about the T and X series here). I never really handled a pre-Lenovo Thinkpad, but as far as I can gather, things seems to only have improved in the quality and feature set since the Lenovo takeover. The T6x line has some issues with flexing of the chassis under weight, that isn't a problem anymore with the T5xx series. They retain the famous pricetag though :p
