At 1:25 I think, you start disconnecting some cables so that you can remove the screen. How did? you do that? I’m trying to remove the display assembly but I can’t seem to get the cable to disconnect.
Can anyone tell me what the part number is for the video cable? Trying to buy the part on ebay but they have both a 16″ and 15.6 cable available and several different part numbers which are capatible. How can I find out which cable to buy. My computer is the? HP G60-235X. Is the part number written on the cable? Of course i would rather not have to take the computer apart just to get the cable part number. I called HP and they would not tell me that information. Can you believe that?
Is there a simpler way to open the screen without? disassembling the whole laptop?
I have the Compaq-branded version of this laptop, a CQ60 – the lcd got stepped on (everything else still works – connected it to an external lcd to be sure) and so I ordered a replacement which doesn’t give any image; not even the backlight.? Either I got a bad part OR the only difference in part number is that the OEM ends in a -H01 and the replacement ends in S03, but otherwise appear physically identical – know if that might be an issue?
I can actually see something on my monitor tho if i look hard enough. When i open a web page or my word document the white color shows up pretty obviously but it is pretty faint. Im currently having my laptop onto this external monitor to type this. I can see what im? typing on my laptop as well because youtube has a white background. It is just the Dark parts that i cannot see and it also frustrates me so much? but as mentioned i think the LCD bulb/inverter is loosely connected
