hello! I just want to ask if the size of the battery matters in every iPOD classic generation? bcos i want to buy new battery for my iPOD classic 80GB but the problem is that i don’t know what generation is my iPOD.. pls reply..? thank you..
You can find? some of these on ebay. Or on Amazon.com
where do you buy such battery replacement? kits? I’m from belgium and my ipod classic’s battery doesn’t want to charge anymore..
if you do this any guarantee is invalid, many people tried to change their batteries,& landed up with a handful of metal & plastic junk,The units are sealed apple know if someone has broken the seals,If after changing the battery it does not work do not expect? any sympathy from apple they are hard, mean bastards,& give not one inch, if you send it back to Apple they will give you a new one free, if the battery has died within the first year!! it does happen! a lot, so keep your purchase receipt
Mate thank you very much. I’ve been trouble shooting my ipod for about 3 months until i? gave up on it. Now I have my Ipod back thanks to you!!!
Thanks again

where do you buy the batteries from? my ipod wont even turn on? or charge so hoping the battery died on me.. i can buy one an fix it then
Just a heads up about the plastic clip that needs lifting to insert the ribbon cable, lift it BEFORE removing the original ribbon cable!
It’s indeed a clamp and you can rip the original cable in the slot (making it hard to get out) or worse: you can damage the clamp or motherboard rendering your iPod useless ?
If the iPod fails to charge, it can mean a dead battery or a faulty charger. Judging from the fact that you tried multiple USB ports and wall outlets it’s probably a dead battery.
The only other thing you could try before opening your iPod is to use another cable (or try charging another apple device with your cable) so that you can be sure the cable isn’t? faulty
*Attention iPod users*
Go to the app store and download the app? “App Trailers”
And when u create an account use the code “kelbyvdl”
For 5000 points. ($5.00) You can use these points for gift cards etc;
Warning : DON’T DO THIS ! Let apple do . You gonna botch your ipod. Mine is totaly? unusable now ! I really regret what i done , and i’m trying to prevent you .
thank you very helpfull. looking forward to using my ipod again? ..cheers England
