That a decent theory, another theory out there is when Rome was conquered by barbarian? tribes and eventually fell, alot of knowledge was lost in the Roman libraries because almost all the books in the Romans libraries were burned by conquering armies.
I’ve seen what looks like a Baghdad battery being used in ancient Egyptian heiroglyphic drawings. In ine, there are 4 men – the man in the front on the far left is holding up in the air something that can only be described as? a Baghdad battery-shaped object. The only difference is that there is a smallattatchment to the top of it, which looks like a mini lampshade of sorts. So, now I think they had low voltage flashlight arc-lamps back in those times.
